-What a week...-
The week has been hectic for me. Nope not the usual hustle and bustle of work with ministry..rather I was on MC for 2 days due to a throat infection. Went back to work on Wednesday and there was stuff to be done. Marking to complete, exam papers to submit, courses to attend and of course, duty on Friday.
Duty was really a once-in-a lifetime experience. Shall not recount what happened yesterday but I was literally perspiring in the hall. For one I seldom perspire. Secondly to be perspiring in an air-conditioned hall, I think that was really something. Nonetheless I must say that I've gone away learning that indeed I need to be more of an armourbearer for my leader. Right now I feel I still have tonnes to improve as H2.
Today is a respite as I'll be going to SAFTI for my brother's commisioning parade in the evening. Tomorrow will be Heather's wedding dinner. Hm how recent it seems that she invited us to her 18th birthday party. I really must say all of us have really grown old. Nevertheless I thank God for these 2 close friends of mine-Winnie and Heather. Sad to say, work commitments keep us from meeting up more often. I still remember the daily chatter over schoolwork, the outings we had..gosh I'm missing our JC days gals!
Sometimes it takes you not to have something to appreciate, cherish it more. Though my JC days are long bygone, I'm glad for the friendship I have. Remember we used to say we would be one another's bridesmaid? Heather's getting married tomorrow and Winnie's holding hers next year. Perhaps your children can be my flower girl instead? Haha..Dear friends, though you may not read this, I still want to say a big thank you for being there for me..
